SIS Autumn Lecture Meeting - with speakers Laurence Dixon, Frank Wallace, and Bob Johnson. |
|
|
Venue: Wigmore Church and Community Centre, Wigmore Park, Crawley Green Lane, Luton, Bedfordshire, UK.
Laurence Dixon - 'When and Why Europeans Changed
the Calendar Between Tiberius and
Bede'
Pursuing the theme of when it was that Bede thought he lived, Laurence will review the changes in calendrical systems used to date the years between Tiberius and Bede and will attempt to show that, in this period in Europe, most of the changes were driven by religious considerations.)
Frank Wallace - 'An Alternative Broad-brushed Outline of
Human History'
(The talk will cover human history from the present back to earliest times and incorporate what Frank sees as the best consistent global testable evidence of past celestially-induced catastrophes and revised chronology to date. If the outline presented is true and were accepted, then we might ask: is the meaning in our lives potentially elevated as a consequence?)
Bob Johnson - 'Evidence for the Anisotropy of the Speed of
Light'
(Einsteins' Theory of Relativity postulates that the speed of light is constant with respect to every observer. That implies it is also isotropic, i.e., the same in all directions)....... In 1987 Professor Petr Beckmann offered an alternative theory: the local gravitational field is the medium in which light travels and against which its speed should be measured. .....We explore the result of combining Beckmann's model with the principles of the Electric Universe and the non-null MM results and conclude that the speed of light is theoretically anisotropical ... )
