Immanuel Velikovsky's Worlds in Collision - 60th year since publication

The 2010 Annual General Meeting of the SIS will be on Saturday 1st May. It will start at 11.00.   The Members afternoon Spring Lecture Meeting will begin around 1.30/1.45 pm and end about 4.30/4.45 pm. Doors close sharp at 5.00 pm.

With 2010 being the 60th year since the publication of Velikovsky's book Worlds in Collision, the afternoon Spring Lecture Meeting will mainly concern itself with matters relating to Velikovsky.

As SIS co-founder, ex-Chairman and, for a short while, also Editor of SIS Review, we are pleased to have Brian Moore give a talk titled 'The Defence of Heretics: The Origins of the SIS'.  A further talk will be given by Emmet J. Sweeney titled: 'Hatshepsut: "Queen of the South"'  In his talk he will discuss his new book, which supports Velikovsky's equation, in Ages in Chaos, of the Queen of Sheba with the Egyptian Queen Hatshepsut and is a rebuttal of certain of John Bimson's arguments, in Chronology & Catastrophism Review vol. VIII, 1986, against this seminal identification by Velikovsky.

The venue: 'The Tanners' Room, Harlequin Theatre, The Quadrant, Redhill, Surrey.

Lunch: as usual, a hot lunch is available if required. If you require one, write to the SIS Secretary at: 'Innisfree', Highsted Valley, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 0AD, UK and you will be contacted and given menu options and prices.
