dark energy - what is it?

At www.physorg.com/print228659903.html we are told that zombie stars are the key to measuring dark energy. At www.physorg.com/print228643916.html we are informed there is a cosmic Axis of Evil. Astronomers, it seems, are puzzled by the announcement that the masses of the largest objects in the universe appear to depend on which method is used to estimate their mass. At www.physorg.com/print228642235.html we are told there is proof dark matter actually does exist. It seems it could be that electrons are created when high energy dark matter particles crash into one another, giving rise to the synchrotron radiation that has puzzled some scientists. The result is unexplained non-thermal radio filaments at the centre of the Milky Way. These filaments trace magnetic field lines. At www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2011/06/radio-wave-emissions-near-milky-wa... is the same subject but with a different emphasis. Radio emitting filaments are concentrated near the centre of the Milky Way, it begins, and defy explanation - in the orthodox mode of thinking.
