A Towering Balloon like structure

A towering balloon like structure has been discovered near the centre of the Milky Way - a pair of radio emitting bubbles that are hundreds of light years tall. The centre of the galaxy is of course in the vicinity of the hypothetical black hole that resides there - currently slumbering. The enormous hour glass shaped structure is the result of energetic burst of energy that erupt near the black hole we are told. When two black holes collide they merge into a bigger black hole that rings like a struck bell, sending out ripples in space and time. They call them gravitational waves. Embedded in the waves are specific frequencies, or tones, which are akin to individual notes in a musical chord.

ESAs X-ray space telescope has detected never before seen periodic flares of x-ray radiation coming from a distant galaxy that might explain some enigmatic behaviour in active black holes. The flares were seen to suddenly increase in brightness by a factor of 100 - before dimming back down again (but lit up again a few hours later) and so on.
