The Svensmark and Calder model

Climate change

For those wondering what all those electromagnetic and cosmic ray showers were doing Tim Cullen has the answer in his latest post – he says they verify the Svensmark and Calder hypothesis. Go to http://malagabay.wordpress.com/2013/12/03/svensmark-singfs-synchronicity/ … and the same post is reblogged at http://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2013/12/03/tim-cullen-svensmark-vindicate…

It seems that in spite of recent papers debunking Svensmark there is actually plenty of mainstream science out there that is in support of the theory – but is very often ignored, or lost in the PR bubble over negative claims. The book, The Chilling Stars, authored by Svensmark and Calder, was very popular a few years ago. The chilling comes from cosmic rays, and climate scientists, or most of them, have been a bit shy or reticent. Others have criticised the theory and yet Tim Cullen does his usual round of varied sources and shows that Svensmark's theory is not contradicted by mainstream science – and in fact supports it. Climate scientists have put all their marbles in the box marked greenhouse gases – they might end up with egg on their faces. We have had not warming for at least 15 years – in spite of anything the PR machines might say or politicos with their snouts in the trough might like to think. So, why is mainstream science on cosmic rays been ignored? – even by the Royal Society.
