Black Body Radiation

1 June 2014
Physics

This is essentially physics rather than climate science – although the latter relies on some consensus physics thinking. At http://chiefio.wordpress.com/2014/05/26/co2-does-not-black-body-radiatio… … which should be a game changer – but will seriously be ignored (with great intensity). Another crutch of CAGW alarmism has had its walking stick kicked away. It seems that the idea co2, an emitter of infra red radiation, does not cause 'back radiation' to heat the planet with increasing temperatures ( a major component of the models) is now proving to be a problem (in serious science circles). In CAGW activist bubbles the situation has not changed because it has nothing to do with science – and all to do with money and politics.

The theory of Global Warming, or runaway temperatures, is deeply flawed – it would seem. Oh my, that won't get a lot of attention from mainstream media. Black body radiation, it seems, actually requires black bodies – not transparent things such as atmospheric gases (such as co2). EM Smith suggests readers look at a paper at http://ptep-online.com/index_files/2014/PP-38-05.PDF

This link may already have been posted on In the News – whatever, the paper may explain why Dr Pierre-Marie Robitaille has been at the end of some negative PR recently (see also http://hockeyschtick.blogspot.co.uk/2014/05/new-paper-questions-basic-ph… … for a more populist take.
