Some strange goings on have been noticed – and all covered in secrecy and an unwillingness to let the public into the inner workings of the legal profession and their desire to make hay while the Sun shines (collect their share of the loot before CAGW expires a natural death). Laframboise has a knack of coming up with goodies other bloggers have missed – and this is one of them. What has been going on? Why the secrecy?
I wouldn't trust a lawyer to look after my dog when I went for a leak as they are fully capable of telling lies while placating you with their inate honesty and truthfulness – after all they are upholders of the Law (the good guys). What is going on behind the scenes that the public are unaware of? What is the big secret leading up to the Paris conference?
Sceptics seem to think that Paris will be a washout. It may well be when it comes to pinning down the politicians to cut back on emissions. However, there are some bigger fish in the pond and these are financial traders and hedge fund managers (with billions and billions of dollars invested in carbon credits). Are we going to get a new version of the carbon trading scam – making heaps of loot out of fresh air? If so you may wonder what will happen when the bubble bursts – as it will do (in a few years time). Lack of energy and electricity may be the least of your worries. These people are powerful enough to remove the Australian prime minister, Tony Abbott, as he had become interested in investigating the temperature records of BOM (which are wildly out of focus). BOM is the Australian equivalent of the METOffice and is in charge of temperature records across a continent that is in turns tropical and desert, as well as quite temperate around the edges – a ball park fit for games to play. The odd sceptic making noises could be brushed aside but an official investigation by government into dodgy practice threatened to bring down the house of cards. Their new prime minister is apparently a former employee of one of the biggest beneficiaries of the carbon trading business – and in fact dreamt it up. This threatens to make the bank disasters of recent years look like small beer in comparison to what could happen if this blew up in their faces – and Abbott had to go.
It all sounds like a conspiracy but when top legal brains from around the world get together to discuss climate change you can guarantee they aren't talking about the weather – but about money.
