At http://siberiantimes.com/other/others/news/n0847-icebreakers-make-histor… … which is of course a giggle at the CAGW crowd that have been gloating about warm Arctic seas and melting ice as the El Nino inspired warm water reaches the far north (before the heat is dissipated into space at the pole). It is being projected that this is once again the warmest year ever but apparently most of the data to make this claim is from projected temperature estimates as the Arctic is a sea (and sea ice) and temperature stations do not exist there or anywhere within hundreds of miles. In this story from Russia the temperature in the Arctic has dive bombed and two of the newest icebreakers of the Russian navy have come to a stop – awaiting a more favourable period to move as they are hemmed in by enclosing ice on all sides.
