Interesting story at https://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2017/05/08/irish-beach-reappears-overnig… ….an entire beach near the village of Duoagh, on Achill Island, disappeared during a major storm in 1984.; Waves washed away all the sand, and hotels, guest houses, and cafes had to close down. All that was left was a rocky foreshore. However, over a period of ten days in April (2017) during what is described as freak tides, hundreds of tons of sand were deposited – creating a 300m long beach.
