Victoria to Victorian

Climate change

At https://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2022/03/26/landmark-decision-vindicates-victims-supreme-court-orders-total-wind-farm-shutdown/ … in the State of Victoria, in Australia, wind turbine noise has led to a shut down of the Bald Hills wind farm by a Supreme Court ruling. One down and thousands of wind farms to go.

At https://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2022/03/25/victorian-rainfall-data-shows-extreme-uk-weather-events-are-nothing-new/ … we have Victoria again – the reign of Queen Victoria and Met Office records from that time. Climate Change activists are fond of berating Joe Public with the invented idea that flash floods and droughts are a sign of doom and imminent destruction as a result of co2 levels rising. Aided and abetted by some strange people in the media. Newly transcribed data, as a result of lockdown volunteers, have shown rainfall records over 130 years are very similar to weather events in the modern era. Nothing new. Most people already suspected that in any case but now it has been proved without a doubt. In fat, the dryest and the wettest days and years occurred in Victorian times. Not in the 21st century.

The same story is at https://wattsupwiththat.com/2022/03/26/rescued-victorian-rainfall-data-smashes-former-records/ … but from an American angle. It gives us a little more information about the role of the volunteers in digitising the paper records from actual monthly observations of rain gauges in Britain and Ireland. At https://phys.org/news/2022-03-deluge-lockdown-volunteers-uk-hidden.html … the news flash begins by noting the UK is overflowing with phrases about the weather. From ‘make hay while the sun shines’ to ‘save for a rainy day’ and ‘come rain or shine’ etc. The hand written paper records had been ignored by modern Met Office pushing the climate change narrative but in the wings others thought it would be worthwhile to compare Victorian climate records with the modern ones, assuming perhaps that they would show how climate had changed in the modern world. In fact, it did no such thing. It showed no change whatsoever. More evidence climate change is a delusion.

News today that some German environmental groups are reacting against the onslaught of forest clearance. At https://notrickszone.com/2022/03/26/leading-environmental-group-NABU-now-vigorously-opposes-wind-parks-in-german-forests/ … as a result of swathes of German forest being clear cut to make way for wind parks. Environmentalists of the old school, rather than the alarmist variety of climate zealot, are having second thoughts on where renewables are going. Are wind turbines good for the environment? They most definitely are not. At what point do the environmentalists as a whole stop turning a blind eye to the desecration of wildlife?

Don’t expect any time soon. There are still a lot of crazies out there, their addled brains ruined by indoctrination. It has even penetrated the highest echelons it would seem. The Pope, Charlie Chuckles the plant talking Prince, and the UN Secretary General. At https://tallbloke.wordpress.com/2022/03/25/un-secretary-general-claims-use-of-fossil-fuels-will-lead-to-mutually-assured-destruction/ … we have the UN leader still preaching from the renewable hymn sheet. Doom and gloom. These fairy tales seem to have a life of their own, taken at face value. There is no sign of abatement from the relentless pursuit of subsidies and their distribution to sustain them. You have to speculate to accumulate and the renewables lobby knows how to do this very well. Peeling off 10 percent of profit to keep the bigger profit onstream has worked a dream. No one it seems is beyond the pale when it comes to buttering up with some cream. Right to the very top of the tree, the highest of branches.

Mind you some disturbing information does occasionally seep through the mist created by the swamp. At https://notrickszone.com/2022/03/17/new-analysis-of-greenlands-gisp2-temperatures-expose-selection-bias-in-paleo-reconstructions/ … scientists admit that three different Greenland Summit [GISP2} temperature reconstructions produce three different paleoclimate temperature results. The reconstructions chosen as the most robust are therefore the ones that align best with the author’s presuppositions. This is of course about temperature throughout the Holocene and not just in recent years. An interesting read. Is this how science works?
