At https://phys.org/news/2023-05-x-ray-emissions-black-hole-jets.html … added this in order to keep abreadst of rapidly incoming new research on black holes. Black hole jets emit X-rays, we are told. These jets accelerate energetic particles to high energy status. Superficially something like plasma – yet black hole researchers do not seem to be looking at new solar research. In fact, the research paper above seems to contradict current thinking on how X-rays are generated from black holes.

At https://phys.org/news/2023-05-complex-magnetic-field-molecular-cloud.html … researchers using the James Clerk Maxwell telescope have been studying a nearby molecular cloud – and its complex magnetic field. The astronomers include Janik Karoly of the University of Central Lancashire. The cloud is associated with a filament – see also https://doi.org/10.48550/arxiv.2305.11306 .. or https://arxiv.org/pdf/2305.11306.pdf … for the full study
