At https://spaceweather.com … June 5th 2026 … we learn that Comet 22OP/McNaught has just exploded in brightness. An increase of one thousand fold by June 3rd. Does this have a connection with the solar wind and recent activity on the Sun? Space Weather, however, blame the burst of brightness on the comet’s approaching perihelion – which comes on June 14th.

The flourescent glowing regions indicate zones of dense hammerhead occurrenc when Parker cuts through the current sheets.
