Remarkably, they had an identical stone technology – and similar various other traits, that suggest, strongly, they shared a common culture. The date is at the present a bit rough but seems to coincide with a period around 50,000 years ago which conveniently, keeps Out of Africa still breathing. On the other hand the close cultural similarities may simply be as a result of modern humans in the region evolving from the earlier Neanderthal people. All to play for it seems.
