The team, in league with a senator, demanded an independent audit, and rattled, BOM tossed out the old record and hurriedly concocted a new one. Unfortunately, as it was hastily scrambled together, it has, well, been unscrambled – by Ken Stewart and others. Stewart was responsible for a similar hatchet job in New Zealand, causing embarrassment of the political class as well as climate science departments. He has unpicked the new version of BOM, revealing some astonishing howlers. A warming trend, it seems, was created where no such trend existed.
