It’s getting hotter

Climate change

As the weather warms up towards our spring meeting and the visit of Piers Corbyn (see next SIS meeting in Watford in May) it might be worthwhile if we get a flavour of where he is coming from. He has several You Tube videos of previous talks and we shall have another one after he talks at our meeting. There is of course the great talk he gave to the Electric Universe people a year or two ago but most people have probably seen that one (previously linked at this site). So, try these two for a taster – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8QviKVMtE8 and https://youtube.com/watch?v=tZVOnML1jtE … and the latter one concerns the Japanese earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan a couple of years ago. He said something very interesting – earthquakes are more potent the closer the orbit of the Moon is to the Earth. What would happen if a comet came between the Moon and the Earth (in distance rather than in actual placement) ?

The row over the adjustment to data is rumbling on – but not in mainstream media. For instance, at Piers Corbyn's web site www.weatheraction.com there is a piece on the adjustments being made to the Central England Temperature Record, the oldest temperature record in the world – in which the older the temperatures the more cooler they become and the nearer to the present day the warmer they become – thereby providing a system that appears to show global warming is taking place. On the face of it the climate scientists appear to have a good reason to make some adjustments – but every year they continue to adjust the data so that they are in fact adjusting already adjusted temperatures and the accumulative effect is a new record of data that is quite unlike the original – in any way you look at it. This temperature homogenisation, or playing around with temperature records from the past, has been going on for a considerable time now and the result is they are able to claim 2014 was the hottest year on record when everyone but the laugh a minute abstainers from reality know that it was not – and the media shrilly keeps telling us reality is in the models and not in what is going on outside the window. See for example, www.stephenrasey.com/2012/08/cut-away-the-signal-analyze-the-noise/ or https://chiefio.wordpress.com/2015/01/31/some-more-trouble-with-temperat… or https://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2015/02/01/a-global-epidemic-of-data… and last but not least the wicked fairy godmother at http://jamesdelingpole.com/2015/01/forget-climategate-this-global-warmin… … and similar stories crop up at www.bishop-hill.net and http://tallbloke.wordpress.com
