I've always imagined it takes quite a few years for snow to compress into ice and become thin enough to create an ice core. Pierre Gosselin appears to be serious as he says ice cores show temperature in the 1930s was warmer than they were in the 1990s and 2000s. This does not contradict HH Lamb who of course lived through the 1930s – and 1934 was the warmest year on record until it was made cooler by the chicanery of climate scientists on a mission. See what you think. I have no idea.
Why would temperatures be deliberately altered in order to make recent years appear to be super warm – even when most people know it is poppycock. One reason is ventured at http://notrickszone.com/2017/02/04/german-cdu-parliamentarian-calls-clim… … a German politico compares climate science and it's hype with the Soviet system under which he grew up. It is a mixture of 'belief' and dogma (politicised science or state of mind). He might know a thing or two about how undemocratic politics works – and he is also a physicist (as well as a politician).
