At https://dailygalaxy.com/2025/11/solar-orbiter-plasma-arching-over-the-sun/ … an ESA solar orbiter video shows a colossal arc of plasma rising up over the Sun. A solar prominence caught in motion. Otherwise known as a filament. You can view the short video at the link. It reveals solar dynamics with clarity. A dense structure of plasma, an electrified gas, is entrapped in what are thought to be magnetic fields. Such formations can stretch for tens of thousands of kilometres – larger than the diameter of the Earth. They can even last for days – even months. The sequence here lasted only one hour. These filkaments often produce coronal mass ejections, CMEs in shorthand. These are enormous bursts of solar plasma. The looping arcs, swirls, and collapses as seen in the video. These latest images may throw up some ideas on how they form. This is a subject still not understood by science, we are told. However, mainstream are getting nearer. Perhaps they need to abandon the idea the Sun has a nuclear core setting in motion the tremendous energy produced at the surface of the atmosphere. Filaments suggest an electrical element – as in the blanket term, electro-magnetic phenomena. In some ways the Electric Universe ideas were before their time – opening up a debate not taken up by mainstream. In other ways, not so. It remains to be seen what conclusion mainstream science will alight upon.
