This is pure Fortean in nature and difficult to put in a box. At https://dailygalaxy.com/2026/11/1841-tennessee-blood-rain-flesh-mystery/ … It was the date of 1841 that caught my attention as that coincided with a climatic spike in various parts of the world. We are told that blood and flesh rained down from above. It has its own debunk ready and waiting as it was witnessed by just a couple of slaves in a tobacco field in Tennessee. They came to the slave owner of the farm with the evidence. Tobacco leaves splattered with what looked like red blood – as well as some bits of flesh and fat. That flesh was too rancid to be identified certainly but it may have been from a hog. A very strange event if true – but the link actually provides a reason to doubt it ever happened, and was manufactured evidence. Ignoring the flesh and fat which may have come from their victuals and used to emphasise the bloody nature of the splatterings, we might draw a parallel with the red rain incident in Kerala in southern India back in 2001. However, when the slave owner publicised the event it drew a lot of interest and his farm was visited by curious people. The two slaves were extensively interrogated and accused of manufacturing the evidence. By the time the flesh reached a chemist in Nashville it was too far gone to analyse properly. Never the less he said it was actually flesh and terrestrial in origin. Hence, the favoured explanation became a whirlwind or dust devil that had whisked up an animal such as a hog and parts of it later fell back down in a shredded form. Unlikely, one might think.
