Society for Interdisciplinary Studies - Publications

Chronology & Catastrophism Review (C&CR)

Chronology & Catastrophism Review is the journal of the Society for Interdisciplinary Studies and is presently published once a year. It was formerly known as SIS Review (SISR) between Vol. I, issue 1 - Vol. VI, issue 4 (and for single issue VII:A). It is part of a Member's yearly subscription entitlement. From 1996-2002 C&C Review also contained material submitted for Chronology & Catastrophism Workshop (C&CW) - the latter publication having been suspended in 1996 when SIS Internet Digest took its place. In 2003 C&CW reappeared (when SIS Internet ceased publication in 2002) and was temporarily amalgamated with C&C Review in 2004. From 2005 to the present, C&C Workshop and C&C Review have been published separately.   For back issues of SIS Review and C&C Review, plus photocopies of out-of-print issues, see below.

Chronology & Catastrophism Workshop (C&CW)

Chronology & Catastrophism Workshop was previously known as SIS Workshop (SISW). It is also part of a Member's entitlement. With the  appearance of the SIS Internet Digest in 1996, and from then until 2002, Workshop's material was incorporated into the Society's journal, Chronology & Catastrophism Review (C&CR).  C&C Workshop was re-launched in 2003 and in 2004 was amalgamated, temporarily, with C&C Review. Since the beginning of 2005 both C&CW and C&CR have been published separately.

C&C Workshop is currently published three times a year, but from 2010 this is to change to two, larger, issues each year. C&C Workshop provides a forum for debate and discussion on the same topics as C&C Review. It was launched to provide for informal publication of material; some of which, for a variety of reasons, does not qualify for immediate inclusion in The Society's journal, but may be of great interest to members and deserving of early circulation. In this way, Workshop can provide scope for the germination of ideas which, as they become more focused and clarified, may well provide material for later inclusion in Review. The magazine also promotes the exchange of ideas and information within the Society's Membership and can be of great value in relaying snippets of information, Members' opinions, reviews of relevant news and articles and generally keeping Members informed of anything that is likely to be of interest to them. For back issues of SIS Workshop and C&C Workshop, plus photocopies of out-of-print issue, see below.

SIS Internet Digest (1996-2002)

From April 1996 until 2002, SIS Internet Digest was the Society's twice-yearly publication for relaying snippets of information from the Internet. It included reviews, news and articles for keeping SIS Members informed of anything which was going on and likely to be of interest in the fields of chronology and catastrophism. Publication ceased in 2002.  In 2003, and to date, material from the Internet has been incorporated within a section in C&C Workshop.
