An interesting post by Casey Kazan who continues to rattle the cage at www.dailygalaxy.com and posted on August 31st ‘Do Jupiter’s radio emissions hint that dark energy may not exist?’ … the cosmic microwave background as tracked by the WMAP satellite shows a pattern of ripples that underpin the idea the universe is composed of dark matter and dark energy. Researchers at Durham Univesity think they have found a flaw in the data – starting with WMAP observations of the planet Jupiter. They had an earlier paper published not so long ago and also reported by Daily Galaxy. This is an add-on to what they were saying then.
On the same web site, on August 30th, Casey Kazan posted ‘Supermassive Black Holes Interacting with Dark Matter observed from Earth’ – astrophysicists say that a supermassive black hole of the type at the core of large galaxies could release gamma ray jets that interact with surrounding dark matter that may be detectable on earth. Astronomers infer dark matter exists based on gravitational effects it seems to exert on normal matter within galaxies – but dark matter has never actually been observed.
