At www.physorg.com/print202971192.html Sept 6th … for a second time evidence has been found the magnetic poles have flipped over in a very rapid manner. Geologists in 1995 found a lava flow in Oregon with an unusual magnetic pattern indicating it had shifted 10,000 times faster than expected. This was hotly disputed in geological circles and was so controversial many scientists simply still do not accept such an event. It does not fit into a uniformitarian context. Now, the same geologist claims he has found evidence of another very rapid pole flip. It moved by 53 degrees in a single year – or less (article in press at Geophysical Research Letters).
