an earthen hump that runs for hundreds of feet is said to be the remnant of a serpent mount built between AD1400-1600. It was aligned to the setting Sun, it is further claimed, and apparently the local Shawnees associated a Great Horned Serpent with eating the Sun (obscuring it). Gary Gilligan has suggested it is a representation of Apophis, the name by which the Egyptians perceived the Horned Serpent. Various magical practises were associated with Apophis, and the Sons of Apep, it could be argued, are a meteorite cluster.
