At www.sciencenews.org/view/generic/id/348953/Disputed_finds_put_humans_in_… … Clovis before – a long time before. Stone tools from a rock shelter have been dated 22,000 years ago – and possibly earlier.

A paper in Archaeological Science (March 4th 2013) by Christelle Layhaye and Eric Boeda (France) place humans in Brazil much earlier than in North America, based on dates obtained from soil and fill as stone itself cannot be dated.

Meanwhile, at www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2013-03/fm-acc031313.php … the Menzies book on the Chinese voyages of Admiral Zheng He have been corroborated by the discovery of a 600 year old Chinese coin on the Kenyan island of Manda, decades before Europeans ventured into the Indian Ocean. The island of Manda was home to an advanced culture with strong maritime links from around 200AD to approximately 1430AD (disappearing aound the time of the outbreak of the devastating plague known as the Black Death).
