Climate change

At http://phys.org/print303571573.html … latest update on plasma fusion – Chinese, American, French. Where are the British? Stuck up a windmill.

How much are we really paying in our electricity and gas bills for renewable subsidies. Go to www.bishop-hill.net/blog/2013/11/14/cost-concealment.html and get a flavour of the hoodwinking going on – all connived at by the politicos in league with enviros and media plonks on a good earner. First you see it – then you don't. Smoke and mirrors.

At http://phys.org/print303641687.html … Roy Spencer claims that most of the warming over the last 50 years was as a result of a strong El Nino cycle. He is not too popular with CAGW types as he uses satellite data – and that appears to contradict a lot of what the climate scientists would like you to think. Standard practise for PR shysters pushing CAGW is to attack the man – and apparently Spencer goes to church on a Sunday which is supposed to be a big reason for not listening to what he has to say. However, Spencer is persistent and his message, he knows, will eventually be victorious. Why? The other side are telling porkies. However, his research rather puts a spike in those that think clouds play a dominant role in climate. They do, he suggests, but only after changes in El Nino or La Nina predominance in Pacific ocean currents (which is all part of the atmospheric and surface water cycle). At last, we are getting back to HH Lamb – and he was writing his stuff 60 years or so ago.
