At https://phys.org/print405174346.html … ancient DNA reveals continuity between stone age and modern populations in East Asia. The DNA came from human remains found in a cave some 8000 years ago.

Over at https://phys.org/print405158236.html … we have the Bulbasaurus. They lived in the Permian epoch (around 260 million years ago) and they apparently have similarities with crocodiles, and turtles, and most surprisingly with mammals. Do mammals have their origin as early as the Permian (we already know there were mammals in the succeeding Jurassic and Cretaceous epochs. See also https://blogs.phys.org
