William sent in a link via Yahoo to this story but we can also read it at https://phys.org/news/2021-01-gigantic-dinosaur-unearthed-argentina-larg… … Agentinosaurus was found in 2012 but another huge specimen is currently been excavated that may be even bigger. It is now being claimed this is the biggest creature ever to 'walk' the earth, even larger than the blue whale. In the marine environment, and unable to walk, the blue whales can grow up to 33m in length. We are told Argentinosaurus was 36.5m in length, from its nose to the tip of its tail. It weighed in at 100 tons. Argentinosaurus is one of a group of dinosaurs known as Titanosaurus. They had very long  necks and super long tails.

Changing tack, at https://phys.org/news/2021-01-fossil-burrows-ancient-seafloor-colonizati… … a team of international researchers have been looking at rocks in NE Taiwan that were once on the seafloor. At least as far as the Miocene is concerned. This is a classic continental shelf location that was sometimes dry land and sometimes submerged. Layers of ancient sea floor in Taiwan sport L shaped burrows that were possibly made by giant ambush predatory worms [predecessors of modern bobbit worms].
