Secrets of Jupiter

Jupiter's powerful aurorae are responsible for the planet wide heating.

At https://phys.org/news/2021-08-lunar-samples-mystery-moon-magnetic.html … in preparation for NASAs 2024 mission to the moon – inclusive of astronauts. They are investigating why the moon does not have a magnetic shield – and whether it is possible it once did.

Over at https://phys.org/news/2021-08-observatory-chile-highest-resolution-aster… … again, a study in preparation for NASAs 2026 mission to the asteroid Psyche, one of the objects in the asteroid belt. A temperature map has been produced to show Psyche's thermal inertia is high in comparison with other asteroids that have currently been looked at. Hence, the mission is intended to discover its composition, and why it is hot.
