In the UK we had some nice summer weather in June, the month known in folklore as ‘flaming June’. However, July has been mainly overcast, with bouts of rain, much like many other school holidays over the years. It is certainly not hot over here so the media have been forced to go overseas for their alarmist stories. Are they getting paid by renewable profiteers? Who knows – but that is one of the conspiracy theories doing the rounds. As a result of holidaying their alarmist reports in sunny climes such at Mediterranean Europe they seem to have got mixed up – by not reading the reports properly. They have somehow mixed up surface temperature with air temperature and came up with fantastic heat episodes that really were not very much out of the ordinary. Over the pond, in California, there are gushing waterfalls, swollen lakes and reservoirs, as well as snow covered mountains. The aridity has popped out of the window. This must be the daftest reaction, ever. We are told by the researchers at Cambridge University that the consequences of the greening are unknown. Unfortunately for them the media have spun that so it is not good news for the people of Peru. When something to be pleased about is twisted by doom and gloom you know the alarmists are wrong. Why would they do that?

Ocean colour is switching to a more noticeable green colour as a result of more abundant marine life. The media reacted unfavourably for reasons they only know. They claim climate change is causing the seas to change colour., This comes about as an increase in phytoplankton. These creatures lay at the base of the marine food chain. It must be good news. More phytoplankton will mean more fish – and lots of people around the world like their fish suppers.

If that happens they really will be getting a lot of compensation claims from the rest of the world. Tall Bloke calls them dimwits but others might have a more succinct description of their ambition. Does Bill have a phone line directly to the White House? Will he be reaching into his deep pockets when another Little Ice Age kicks in?
