Dolomite plaster, tunnels, and amulets

It was exploited by the Romans as it occurs naturally in Italy, or within reach of Italy. Now, archaeologists have discovered dolomite plaster was in use as early as 8000 years ago – in the Judaean hills of the southern Levant. This pans out around 6000BC, during the Pre Pottery Neolithic B period.

At https://dailygalaxy.com/2026/05/massive-tunnel-found-who-dug-it-mystery/ …. a large underground tunnel was discovered during excavations at a kibbutz near  Jerusalem. It involved a natural cavity which turned out to be an opening leading to a dug out tunnel extending 50 metres into rock. No artifacts were found and it can’t be dated as no organic material has been found. Its purpose is also unknown. Layers of soil had gradually accumulated over an extended period of time.

At https://dailygalaxy.com/2026/05/egyptian-amulet-tomb-spain-2000-miles/  … an Egyptian scarab was unearthed  in a tomb at the necropolis of El Toro in Spain, alongside cremated remains. An inscription refers to a title associated with the 26th dynasty period and was probably brought by Phoenician traders to Spain.
